Hello, my name is Miranda, I use a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach (CBT) to help with anxiety disorders, depression and mental health problems which are causing distress.
I work in Staplehurst and serve the surrounding community, my practice is easily accessible from Headcorn, Tenterden, Frittenden, Maidstone, Marden and the Wealden villages. I am also within walking distance from the main line station in Staplehurst.
Anxiety and depression can have a big impact on your life, with therapy, I offer a safe, non judgmental, confidential space for you to explore issues that are perhaps causing depression, anxiety, emotional or psychological pain. Using CBT we would work together to allow you to move forward.
I have a background in nursing before I went into Psychology, studying a Masters degree in Cognitive Psychotherapy which led to my CBT accreditation 12 years ago.
I have business and ICO registration. Additionally, i have an Enhanced certificate form DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and am a recognised Bupa therapist also accredited with BABCP, who promote the highest standard of training and professional ethics as well as ongoing professional development.
Please feel free to contact me if you are feeling a bit nervous about approaching therapy and just want to enquire without making a commitment.
Additionally, I have worked with older adults who may be experiencing memory loss and impairment, this can be a very stressful time for the sufferer and for those caring for them, friends and family. My working life experience with this age group gives me a deeper understanding of the difficulties and joys that older age can bring.
Wheelchair/disabled access? Yes
The therapy room is on ground level and can be accessed immediately by a wheelchair through double doors. Parking is available on the gravel driveway adjacent to the entrance.
